Which proposals will be discussed in the Chintin camp

Congress General Secretary Ajay Maken said that in various committees of the organization to reserve 50 percent space for the youth, make Mandal committees at the local level, create an assessment unit to review the work of office bearers and hold a post for five consecutive years. Proposals to fix no-longer accommodation arrangements will be considered. According to Maken, a member of the Coordination Committee on the organization for the Chintan Shivir, ‘There has been a proposal to form Mandal committees between the block and the polling booth. It has been suggested that three to five mandal committees should be formed under each block committee. 15 to 20 booths will come under each Mandal committee. This topic will be discussed in the camp.

Discussion on ‘one family, one ticket’

He told, ‘One family, one ticket has been discussed. There is agreement on this. There will also be a provision in this that another person in the family will have to work for the party for at least five years to get the ticket. It should not happen that the son of an old leader should contest elections all of a sudden. If someone has to contest elections, he has to give his five years for the organization.

Congress will benefit from ‘one family, one ticket’

If the Congress’s proposal of one family, one ticket is approved, the path will be cleared for Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to contest the next Lok Sabha elections along with Rahul Gandhi from the Gandhi-Nehru family, as Priyanka entered active politics in early 2019. With this, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his son Vaibhav Gehlot will not face any problem in contesting the elections together, as Vaibhav has been associated with the party organization for the last several years. “It is also suggested that no person should hold any post for more than five years,” Maken said. If he has to stay in the post for more than five years, then there should be a cooling period of three years for him and then he can come to that post.
