In a meeting recently, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot took a jibe at the Anti-Corruption Bureau for not serving the notice. After this, the Bureau had also changed the research officer in the alleged horse-trading case of MLAs. In this case, about a year ago, the bureau had requested the subordinate court of Jaipur metropolis to allow taking voice sample of Union Minister Gajendra Singh.

The Bureau of Investigation’s research officer had told the court that accused Sanjay Jain had admitted to having a conversation and voice of Union Minister Gajendra Singh with himself in an audio at the time of interrogation. Citing this fact, the research officer had expressed the need to take a sample of Gajendra Singh’s voice.

The Metropolitan Magistrate Court had refused to order the taking of the voice sample. On the presentation of the revision application against this order, the Additional District and Sessions Court, on the request of the Research Officer, ordered to seek reply through notice to know the side of the Union Minister. On this, the Research Officer of the Bureau has now served notice to the Union Minister Singh.

Case was registered in 2020 Mahesh Joshi, the then government chief whip in the assembly, had given a complaint to the Anti-Corruption Bureau on June 10, 2020, regarding the alleged horse-trading of MLAs. On this, the bureau registered a case on 17 July 2020.
