New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Jagdeep Dhankhar on being elected the next Vice President of the country. Prime Minister Modi met the newly elected Vice President Dhankhar and congratulated him on the victory. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda also met Dhankhar at Union Minister Prahlad Joshi’s residence here. These meetings took place soon after Dhankhar was declared the winner in the Vice Presidential election.

Dhankhar wins Vice Presidential election
Please inform that Jagdeep Dhankhar was declared the winner in the Vice Presidential election. Dhankhar got 528 votes while the opposition candidate Margaret Alva got 182 votes. Dhankhar will replace M Venkaiah Naidu, whose term ends on August 10.
