Rawalpindi: Three Pakistani Army personnel and three children have been killed in a suicide attack in the North Waziristan area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.

According to the ISPR, three soldiers and three innocent children lost their lives in the suicide attack in Miramshah area of ​​North Waziristan district.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that seven Pakistani Army personnel were killed in an ambush by terrorists on a military convoy near the Afghan border in North Waziristan on April 15.

The army’s media wing said that the terrorists ambushed a vehicle of the security forces in Isham area of ​​the tribal district on April 14. The troops retaliated quickly, effectively engaging the attackers.

In the ensuing encounter, four terrorists were killed, the ISPR said, with seven soldiers also martyred during the intense exchange of fire.

The martyred soldiers have been identified as Havildar Tariq Yusuf, Sepoy Suleman Waqas, Sepoy Junaid Ali, Sepoy Ejaz Hussain, Sepoy Waqar Ahmed, Sepoy Muhammad Jawad Amir and Sepoy Arshad Ali.

The ISPR said, “Pakistan Army is committed to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.”
