Voices rise after Moose Wala’s father’s speech
A day after the Delhi Special Police Cell arrested two men in connection with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, his father Balkaur Singh said that “gangsters are running a parallel government” in Punjab.
Speaking in his village Musa, Singh said that “60-80” people were behind Moosewala and that at least “eight attempts were made to kill him”. “The government left no stone unturned, withdrew their security, publicized it,” he said.
Delivering an emotional speech referring to the murder of former student leader and SAD activist Vicky Middukheda, he said, “Youth are dying. Middukheda was avenged, tomorrow someone will do it for Sidhu.

Reacting to his statement, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa tweeted, “Propaganda-hungry @ArvindKejriwal @raghav_chadha is responsible for the #SidhuMooseWala murder. Sidhu Musewala’s father Balkaur Singh cries on the failure of @AAPpunjab government (sic).
Delhi Police on Sunday arrested two wanted criminals Ankit and Sachin Bhiwani of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar gang. According to the police, Ankit Punjabi was one of the shooters involved in the singer’s murder and Sachin was responsible for sheltering four shooters.
Police have also said that Sachin is wanted in one case in Churu, Rajasthan while Ankit is named in two other cases of attempt to murder in Rajasthan. Delhi Police has so far arrested five people in connection with the murder of Sidhu Musewala.
