Vijaya Gadde’s legal team on Twitter tells Musk he violated NDA
Elon Musk said on Sunday that he received a call from the legal team of Twitter, run by Indian-origin Vijaya Gadde, accusing the Tesla CEO of violating a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in which it It was disclosed that the sample size of the micro-blogging platform for checking fake/spam users was 100.
Musk previously said that his team was busy detecting the presence of fake/spam accounts with a random sampling process, which is why he has put a $44 billion Twitter takeover deal on hold.
“Twitter Legal just called to complain that I violated their NDA by giving the bot check sample size 100! This actually happened,” Musk said in a tweet.
He had previously tweeted that he “picked 100 as the sample size number, as this is what Twitter uses to count the <5 percent fake/spam/duplicate".
Musk invited his more than 93 million users to “repeat the same process and see what they discover.”
Gadde was attacked by the Tesla CEO who called for a ban on Trump and a ban on political advertising on the platform.
Working with Twitter since 2011, she has been a key executive overseeing the microblogging platform’s trust and security, legal and public policy functions.
Musk said in another tweet on Sunday that it is very important to fix his Twitter feed.
“You’re being manipulated by algorithms in ways you don’t realize. It’s easy to switch back and forth to see a difference,” said the Tesla CEO.
Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey replied: “It was designed to only save you time when you’re away from the app for a while. The pull to refresh also goes back chronologically.”
On Saturday, a user pointed out to him why he didn’t think about it before making a $44 billion offer for Twitter.
Tesla CEO replied: “I trusted the accuracy of Twitter’s public filing.”
